Call Me Battle Results

Hey Mary, Where ya been?

I’m sure that crossed your mind at least once this past week.  Well… lemme tell ya.

I have been busy busy!  I had thought that I would get the results on time this month but a day or two after the battle went live, I had a PETScan. That took up most of a day, and I have been dealing with massive fatigue. Then I had a family reunion/celebration of life/birthday party over the weekend. I made the mistake of thinking I would be home late Sunday and could crank out a post then. But I was wrong. My ride decided I needed to stay until Monday night because she was making a special dinner and having friends over. After dinner, she was too tired to take me home and her husband was too tired as well. So Tuesday early afternoon, my cousin's husband took me home - and installed black out curtains in my bedroom. Just in time for the massive heat wave - okay, the heat had already arrived, andI have AC but the curtains in the bedroom have been WONDERFUL! I also have them in my front room. Best investment ever for an upper level apartment. 

So why didn’t I do my post then?  Well, I was in need of a massive nap and on Wednesday I met with sport and spine doc to talk about my torn rotator cuff, and on Thursday I met with my oncologist to go over the PETscan results. Friday I needed another long nap because the news I received on Thursday is just starting to set in.  More on that in my July 1 battle post.

So how did the June Call Me Battles turn out?

That’s right, ladies and gents. We have us another Tie Battle.  And Dang it - now I have to cast the tie-breaking vote! 

After careful consideration, I am casting my tie-breaking vote for Carly Rae Jepsen. Mostly because of the earworm potential.
