Good Lovin' Results

Did you think I forgot?  Well, if you did, then you’d be correct!

Our battle this month was Good Lovin’. And contrary to some of the comments, Rascals was NOT the original. It may have been the best known version, it was indeed NOT the original. That honor belongs to Lemme B Goode.

So how did this battle shake out?  Well, not too bad for a bunch of biased viewers!

Here are the results:

Rascals 3 votes

Tommy James & The Shondells 1 vote

Grateful Dead 1 vote

Bet you didn’t see that coming a mile away! Ha!

And now for a little fun that Mr McCarthy tossed in the comments: (even though I am most certainly not a fan of Bruce)

Be sure to come back for the October 1st battle. Not sure yet what it will entail… so your guess is as good as mine!

  1. Mary,

    Thanks for sharing the outcome in your battle. I loved Stephen's contribution left in comments and had you used it, I would've given Bruce Willis my vote. I just loved him as David Addison in "Moonlighting". That was a great sitcom with an excellent writers and cast!! Enjoy your weekend, my dear!

  2. MMQE ~

    We were both shamefully late with our BOTB Results post this time around. But I'm glad you were as late as I was because it takes a bit of the shameful weight off me when I have someone to share it with. [;^D}

    Glad to see you (and CAThy too) enjoyed the wedding scene from Moonlighting's 'ATOMIC SHAKESPEARE' episode. Moonlighting is, today, still one of my Top 5 favorite TV shows ever, and I don't think there's a single episode by any other show (including huge favorites like 'The Andy Griffith Show' & 'Frasier') that is better than 'Atomic Shakespeare'. Yes, I'd call it the best episode of any show in television history. That's just my own opinion, of course, but as usual, it's 423.83% correct!

    When I think of 'Moonlighting', it's hard not to also immediately think of Chubby Checker's 'LIMBO ROCK'. Maybe there's a BOTB idear in that thought somewhere(?)

    Well, I'll be here to see what you come up with for an October 1st BOTB. (Something scary and Halloweenie?) I'll have Round 2 of my 'James Dean' series going, and I think it should be pretty interesting. In fact, I'm 423.83% sure it will be.

    Yak Later...
