My Favorite Music Decade
Our musical conductor for the month of August is Alana from Ramblin with AM. Today, Alana has requested we choose a decade and build a playlist of songs from that time. This is a no-brainer for me. My go-to decade is my happy place - so it’s no big surprise that I’ve chosen the 70s.
Here’s my selection:
1970 - Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel
1971 - Joy To The World - Three Dog Night
1972 - Without You - Harry Nilsson
1973 - Will It Go Round In Circles - Billy Preston
1974 - The Loco-motion - Grand Funk Railroad
1975 - One Of These Nights - Eagles
1976 - Play That Funky Music - Wild Cherry
1977 - Best of My Love - The Emotions
1978 - Love is Thicker Than Water - Andy Gibb
1979 - When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman - Dr Hook
Today’s post is part of the Monday’s Music Moves Me blog hop, hosted by X-Mas Dolly, and co-hosted by Stacy Uncorked, Curious as a Cathy. , and Ramblin with AM. Mary,
ReplyDeleteI'm testing out a new web browser and am not certain this will actually post. I loved this morning's 70's music line up! It sure brought back some good vibes from yesterday. I went with this decade on my other blog and my regular blog home I picked the 80s. Both are great decades for music! Thanks for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!

Great playlist from a great decade.
ReplyDeleteSuch cool songs here. A nice and classic playlist. Thanks for sharing these great songs.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary! It's been a while. ☺ There are so many great songs to choose from in the 70s and I'm enjoying your playlist. Have a good week!

These are great songs that I remember so well and have forgotten like that last song. Today, all the top songs sound the same or they are rap which is not my favourite.
ReplyDeleteI picked the 70's too because I'm rediscovering how much good music it had. Liked your playlist. We had a cover band at the Airmen's Club where my husband was stationed and they introduced me to Play that Funky Music. That song, along with Joy to the World, brings back a lot of memories. And Bridge Over Troubled Waters - that was instant love the first time I heard it. But really, all the songs are good.
