Weekly Song Challenge #14 / Totally Awesome 80's - F #AtoZChallenge
Welcome back to the Totally Awesome 80’s!
A time when our clothes were bright and vivid (nobody had to tell us to NOT eat the laundry soap!). A time before cell phones, and it was the very beginning of a time of personal computers. We had some unforgettable tunes, and that is what we’re focusing on today!
So, grab your big plastic earrings, put on your acid washed jeans, and let’s dance!

On Wednesdays, I present a Weekly Song Challenge. I’m going to just include that challenge in this post to make it easier on everyone. The linky below is for those joining in the Song Challenge for this week. Also, your responses don’t need to be limited to the 80s. I stayed with the 80s theme - just because :) Click Here for more information
A Song with ‘Face’ in the title: Eyes Without A Face - Billy Idol
A Song with ‘Fast’ in the title: Fast Car - Tracy Chapman
A Song with ‘Fire’ in the title: Chariots of Fire - Vangelis
Come back tomorrow to see what ‘G’ songs are reppin’ the 80s!
I don't know much about music , was intrigued https://poojapriyamvada.blogspot.com/2021/04/fernweh-newnormal-atoz.html
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteWOW a double post of music! You know I'm lovin' this, right? Between you and John I'm getting plenty of background music to make my day more enjoyable. The gals in the "Funkytown" vid reminded me that I had a pantsuit in the 80s. I really loved it but boy was it ever inconvenient making bathroom trips a nuisance. I eventually gave that thing away. Now to soak up all of your tunes while I catch up this morning!
Stop by when you get a chance to check out my Looney Tunes Foghorn Leghorn art sketch on Curious as a Cathy. ;) Happy A2Zing!
Mary! I think "Livin on a Prayer" begins with an "L". Although prayer is associated with faith, and "faith" starts with "F".
ReplyDelete1. "Funny Face" by Donna Fargo (this was a rough one!)
2. "Fast Cars and Freedom" by Rascal Flatts
3. "Fire" by the Pointer Sisters
No "F" song for 1987? That year deserves an F though it was a pretty good year for me. You are going to have some interesting lists for some of the letters coming up I'd guess.

Funkytown was so much fun to listen to and watch...the height of that robot dancing. I didn't hear Footloose..it seemed to skip over that one. I also forgot that Wham was able to film in China. I love your 3 of weekly challenges and almost went with Billy Idol but the one I chose was the first that popped into my head. The Fast one was tough for me and love that you went with Jon and Vangelis
ReplyDeleteWhat great songs. Faithfully is my all time fave Journey song!
ReplyDeleteJanet’s Smiles
So cool we got a bonus!
