#4M Dance Party
Time again for Monday’s Music Moves Me! We have a fun theme for you today. The theme for today is ‘songs or lyrics about dance moves’. Believe it or not, there are quite a few of these songs out there. Once again, I’ve narrowed the list to just 5 for today.
Strap on your boogie shoes and let’s dance!
Cha-Cha Slide
Charlie Brown Dance
Cupid Shuffle
The Hustle
The Twist
What are some of your favorite dance songs?
Today’s post is part of the Monday’s Music Moves Me blog hop, hosted by X-Mas Dolly, and co-hosted by JAmerican Spice, Stacy Uncorked and Curious as a Cathy. Be sure to stop by the hosts and visit the other participants.
Mary,
ReplyDeleteFun, fun, fun! The Cha-Cha Slide is my favorite! This sorta takes me back to the 80s when I used to go aerobics with my girlfriends. It was a fun way to get in some needed exercise and fabulous stress reducer. I kinda miss that fun. :) It's interesting watching the different people in these vids. Some just go through the motions and others really feel the mewsic. It's the ones who get into the groove that are the most fun to watch, too. "The Hustle" is a great 70s tune and dance move which I also shared today! ;)
Thanks, Cathy!
DeleteI've always been a fan of line dancing and watching them is just the best!

Gettin' funky with that Cha Cha Slide was too too cool! Luv it! Never saw the Charlie Brown Shuffle, and Hustle & Twist dang we're movin'! Thanks for the dance and have a rockin' week! BIG HUGS
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie!
DeleteGlad I could keep you out on the dance floor, and show you some new moves as well :)

I had fun getting up and dancing to the music. My dogs thought I was nuts, though. Thanks for the fun workout this morning.
ReplyDeleteHi Joyce!
DeleteThanks for dropping by to share a dance or two. It really got my morning going as well.

Great songs. Loved them all. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patrick!

I only knew the last two, so I got right into the Cha-Cha Slide. Would have made a good Zumba song from back in my Zumba days - get funky with it! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThe Cha-Cha Slide and the others are super fun line dances. Being that I have two left feet, I always manage to get twisted around and facing the wrong direction, etc etc so I usually just sit back and watch.

I love the Twist. I can do a good twist. You'd think with me living in Texas for the last 26 years that I'd be good at line dancing...but nah, no line dancing in me! Although I could probably handle the Cupid Shuffle: that one looks easy. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a free-style dancer. Definitely not a follower in any sense of the word...
I found it fascinating to watch the Charlie Brown Dance video: how on earth did that dude's pants not fall all the way down?? I've never understood that fashion trend. How could that even be comfortable? And why would you ever want your pants to come down below your ass?? I don't get it. It's beyond fascinating to me...
It's the little things that keep me going... :)
Have a great week Mary!

Haha! I look like Elaine from Seinfeld - no rhythm, two left feet, and look out everyone around me, because there's a good chance I might get stepped on!
DeleteHope you're in a safe part of Texas, and not caught up in that hurricane mess.
Have a great week as well!

I loved Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell" back in the day. But I can move to anything. My first love and I were once at a club for New Year's Eve and someone dared the DJ to put on Pink Floyd's "Breathe" to see if I'd keep dancing. I didn't disappoint. ~grin~ Now I'm shaking my booty at home to Palaye Royale's "Mr. Doctor Man" on a regular basis. I'm loving their album "Boom Boom Room (Side A)", listening to it every day. Be well!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by, Darla! Have a great day!
